3. Schedule appointments with your realtor to tour desired homes.

4. Write an offer with your Realtor

Write an offer with pre approval from lender. Be prepared to provide seller with earnest upon acceptance of offer.

5. Offer Accepted

Once your offer is accepted, these are the due diligence tasks I recommend:

  • get the home inspected

  • lender will order appraisal

  • loan commitment

  • negotiate repairs (as needed)

  • other appropriate inspections

6. Closing

There will be a lot of figures that are involved in the purchase of a home. The title company will be able to walk you through all of the numbers prior to closing. Bring your state issued photo ID and be prepared for a 1-2 hour closing at your selected title companies office. After the closing, the county will record your deed. Once recorded, the keys to the home will be released and you are officially a homeowner.
